Louis Renault (1843-1918) was a French international law scholar and educator. He was a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration. Renault also represented France at many international conferences (Hague Peace Conferences 1899, 1907). He was co-founder of the Hague Academy of International Law. In 1907, he received the Nobel Peace Prize.
