Peace Palace

The Isfahan carpet, used as a tapestry, is an example of the national product for which Iran is best known. This type of national art has been used to decorate palaces since the earliest parts of antiquity. The silk carpet has a floral design in lavender and cream colors and a gray-blue fond. Isfahan carpets are famous for their high quality and impressive high knot density. The carpet was previously located in the Great Hall of Justice, but after restoration it has been given a new place in the Peace Palace where it is used as a tapestry.
