Peace Palace


India donated a large brown patinated bust on a marble pedestal depicting Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru was a key figure in India’s independence movement and became the country’s first prime minister. He was praised for his policy of “positive neutrality” of India and encouraging global peace and security amid rising Cold War tensions.
